b) people suffering from cancer,
c) people with neurological diseases: e.g. multiple sclerosis, epilepsy,
d) people with acute rheumatic disease,
e) people with advanced asthma, tuberculosis,
f) people with kidney failure, acute inflammation, ulcers, tumors, venereal diseases,
g) people suffering from infectious diseases (flu, smallpox, mumps, etc.),
h) people under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
i) pregnant women, menstruating,
j) children.
a) take care of your physiological needs,
b) remove all metal objects, as they may cause burns to the body,
c) take off glasses and contact lenses,
d) wash your entire body in the shower with soap and then wipe it dry,
e) take off your swimming pool foot.
STEP 1 - PREPARATION (10-15 MINUTES)
We start sauna treatments 1.5 - 2 hours after the last meal. Before entering the sauna, wash your body and dry it thoroughly. People with "cold" feet should warm them with warm water.
We enter the sauna with a towel wrapped around our body, we recommend leaving your swimsuit on the hanger available in the corridor - using the sauna will become safe and more effective. While in the sauna, you must not apply any face or body lotions, as this reduces the body surface area that expels sweat.
STEP 2 – First overheat (8-15 minutes)
You should start from the lowest bench and gradually move to the higher ones, depending on how you feel. On the bench, you should lie down or sit with your legs bent on a towel (it should not cover too much space so as not to limit the circulation of warm air).Remember, however, that your body cannot come into contact with the wood!
In order to adapt the circulatory system to function properly in a standing position, it is advisable to adopt a sitting position with lowered legs in the last 2-3 minutes of staying in the sauna. Any changes in well-being that indicate intolerance to sauna bathing should be taken seriously, including discontinuation of further bathing. You must not replenish fluids during your stay in the sauna, it should be done only during time of rest.
STEP 3 – Cooling down (up to 12 minutes)
The higher the temperature in the sauna, the shorter we stay in it and the longer we cool the body. It is a good idea to start this stage with a cold but dry bath, e.g. going outside (we additionally oxygenate the body, because the air content in the sauna decreases due to its temperature and rapid oxygen uptake). After a few minutes, take a cold, wet bath (10-30 C): take a shower, pour a stream of water over yourself or immerse yourself in water.
It is not recommended to use soap. This stage is the greatest burden on the body.
STEP 4 – Second overheat (10-15 minutes)
We enter the sauna, we can now take the second bench and repeat the above-described activities.
STEP 5 – Rest time
During and after the sauna treatment, physical exercise is contraindicated. After the sauna, you should rest for about 20 - 30 minutes. It is advisable to drink mineral water or juice in moderation.
